Warden Wilber Announces

You can help the Game & Fish with the poaching problem. There are only 60 to 70 wardens in the entire state. How can they patrol every area with only an average of 2 to 3 wardens per region? With the public in the field, there are more eyes observing and patrolling. If you see anything unusual in the field at any time, here is what is you can do:

1. Call the stop poaching hotline: 1-877-WGFD-TIP (943-3847), out of state can also call (307) 777-4330.

2. Be sure to have as much information as possible; vehicle description, license plate number, description of violators, and most important is the exact location.
* If you have a GPS give the coordinates
* County Road
* Landmark
* Mile marker
* If none of these are unknown, do the best that you can.
-THE MORE YOU GIVE, THE BETTER CHANCE OF THE VIOLATORS BEING CAUGHT!

3. You do not have to give any of your personal information, but it will really help especially for being contacted by the dispatch for help on questions when dispatched. The information is definitely confidential.

4. Get online and report (This report is mostly for consist crimes, such as, out of state purchasing resident licenses, knowing someone poaching weekly, word of mouth, etc.) To report online go to: STOP POACHING TIP LINE
***Be sure to be as accurate as possible for the information fields!

ANY VIOLATION TO A GAME LAW IS CONCIDERED A POACHING CRIME!!!

If you have any questions call your local Game & Fish offices.
